Pat was selected for an engineering internship position in the summer of 2008 at Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates in Concord, North Carolina. His primary task during the internship was measurement and quality control of suspension components. He spent the first several weeks rotating between departments before he began his full time task of suspension component quality control.
