During the summer of 2008 Pat had the oportunity to do an engineering intership at Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates, Concord, N.C.
While home from his internship at Ganassi Racing in 2008, Pat picked up the Eldon Season Championship Feature Win

Pat Rachels picked up the Stock Car Feature Win at the 2009 Eldon Raceway 4th of July Special
Pat will be racing in the Limited Late Model division at Hickory Motor Speedway in 2015.

During 2014 Pat had the opportunity to lead the Toyota Racing Development track support team in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. TRD supported truck teams went on to win 18 of 22 races as well as the drivers, owners, and manufacturs championships in 2014
